Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift PACU position requiring an active OH or compact license and significant prior permanent PACU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the PACU department of a surgical center
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm-7:00am
• Cares for post-anesthesia patients recovering from surgical procedures
• Uses ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration safety protocols
• Documentation and timekeeping through Qualivis – Lotus
• Responsibilities include monitoring and caring for patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU setting
• Orientation will include ECG and safeMedicate assessments
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine screening requirements per current guidelines
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to the Cleveland Clinic system for one year after previous assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• All requested time off must be discussed during interview and included at application

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent PACU experience prior to travel
• At least one recent supervisory reference in PACU is required
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with up to two attempts
• No license issues or open legal cases permitted
