Welder & Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder & Fabricator to work on gas turbine exhaust housings and assist in the weld shop within a large industrial repair machine shop.

Job Details

• You will be traveling about 50% of the time and the other 50% you will be in the shop here in Savannah, GA
• Pay while in the shop is between $24 to $28 an hour
• Pay while traveling is $30 to $35 an hour (25% more than your base pay above)
• Your hotel and transportation will be paid for plus you will receive per diem on top of that
• Weld test is stainless and carbon 2G and 3G plate test

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on gas turbine exhaust housings.
• Assist in the weld shop with various welding projects.
• Utilize MIG, TIG, grinding, and cutting techniques effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Experience with grinding and cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Fabrication expertise.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
