Pay Package (Estimated Weekly)

• Weekly Gross: $2,152.30
• Stipend (Meals & Housing): $1,504.30
• W2 (Taxable at $18/hr, 36 hrs): $648

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (Med Surg) to join a dynamic and high-volume medical-surgical unit specializing in complex wound care and spinal cord injury recovery. This role offers exposure to surgical flap patients and low-acuity burn cases, making it ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, clinically diverse environments.

Unit Details

• Unit Name: 6 MedTele 61417
• Beds/Rooms: 33 rooms, capacity up to 49 patients (includes semi-private rooms)
• Staffing Matrix (Nights): 1 Charge RN, 1.5 Techs, 5–6 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 (night shift)
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
• EMR: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Certifications: BLS
• Preferred: Experience with spinal cord injury patients, wound care, and light burn management

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to patients recovering from surgical flap procedures and spinal cord injuries
• Perform wound care, bowel programs, and monitor telemetry
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other care team members to ensure safe, effective treatment
• Adapt to semi-private room settings during high census periods
