American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Illinois, requiring an active IL license and experience with call rotation.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position is in the Interventional Radiology and Pain Management department of a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Work evening shifts, 5x8 hours, 3:30pm-12:00am, with no block scheduling permitted
  • On-call rotation assigned weekly from Monday to Friday, 12am-8am, and 24-hour on-call coverage required on weekends and holidays
  • Every other weekend and occasional weekend daytime shift, 8:00am-4:30pm, are required
  • Mandatory floating within Radiology and Pain departments and potentially to other units, possibly at other facilities within a 50-mile radius
  • Navy blue scrubs required (not provided); staff must wear lead during procedures
  • Uses Cerner EMR
  • Provide RN care in interventional radiology and pain management settings, including working with specialized equipment and wearing lead
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
  • Strict adherence to holidays, RTO, and scheduling policies—no RTO allowed during weekends or holidays, and a maximum of five days off per contract (no more than two consecutive)
  • Floating assignments may occur with as little as two hours’ notice, including to facilities up to 50 miles away
  • First time travelers are accepted
  • Proof of vaccinations required one week prior to start

  • Active IL RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licenses)
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Must provide proof of COVID vaccination (boosters not required)
  • Must live within a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates accepted
  • Compliance items must be completed by the deadline, including lab work within 72 hours of assignment acceptance
