Job Details:

\n

• Work day shifts with varying schedules: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, or 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM
\n• 8 hours per day scheduled
\n• Weekend rotations per department need
\n• On-call requirements: approximately 1-2 weekday shifts and 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule (approximately 1 weekend per month)
\n• Holiday coverage required: 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) rotated based on department need
\n• Must have 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
\n• Experience required in procedures including: Coronary Artery Bypass, Ascending Aortic Aneurysms, Valve Repair and Replacement, Structural Heart Procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip), Thoracic Organ Transplant, ECMO, Ventricular Assist Devices, redo and emergent cases
\n• Adult scrub experience required, pediatric scrub experience a plus
\n• Must be able to multitask and apply critical thinking skills
\n• Participation in numerous ongoing research protocols
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), CST, and Virginia state registration at time of submittal
\n• Overtime may be necessary
\n• Floating within scope of practice
\n• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a team player
\n• Must add any requested time off to end of contract for full 13 working weeks
