Candidates must live in Franklin, Hampshire, or Hampden county, MA Join our team of competent and compassionate individuals as a Shared Living Caregiver in the Shared Living program at Behavioral Health Network by providing in-home placement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them to thrive in our communities.
What is a Shared Living Caregiver? Shared Living Caregivers help the individuals with whom they live stay healthy, get around town, manage their money, make friends and be part of the community where they live.

Who Can Be a Shared Living Caregiver? Shared Living Caregivers are people who care about other people. Caregivers may be single, part of a couple, members of extended families, have children and pets, and be experienced or not. They may live in a single family home or an apartment with an extra bedroom.

- A Generous Stipend
- Monthly home visits from a Shared Living Coordinator
- 24 Hour Emergency on-call support
- Training, including:
- Medication Management
- CPR/First Aid
- Home Safety Skills
- Mandated Reporting
- Human Rights and more
As a Shared Living Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in group home settings by:
- Assisting and monitoring daily living to promote independence, competency, and decision-making
- Monitoring individuals' overall health and well-being
- Providing support with medication treatment and related documentation
- Delivering crisis intervention and emergency support when needed
- Initiating and encouraging community activities and fostering social support networks
- Ensuring quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, dignity, and respect

What are the requirements to being a Shared Living Caregiver? A Shared Living Caregiver must be 18 years or older, have appropriate accommodations to meet the individual's living needs, be understanding and supportive of individuals with disabilities, and pass a criminal background check, driving record check, and home assessment.
