Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support preconstruction efforts for commercial construction projects in both the public and private sectors . This role is with a General Contractor and focuses on renovation and ground-up projects ranging from $5M to $30M .
The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in pricing strategy, bid development, and preconstruction coordination , while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior estimators.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and government projects
Perform estimating across all CSI divisions
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor bids
Support bid strategy, value engineering, and scope reviews
Collaborate closely with project management and leadership during preconstruction
Mentor and support junior members of the estimating team
Ensure compliance with all public-sector bidding requirements
Minimum 7 years of estimating experience with a commercial General Contractor
Proven experience estimating projects valued $5M-$30M
Background in both public (government) and private-sector construction
Experience with renovation and ground-up construction projects
Familiarity with CSP, Design-Build, and CMAR delivery methods
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift , or similar
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
