Job Description

We are working with a growing exterior envelope contractor in the Baltimore area, specializing in commercial roofing, wall panels, and façade systems.

They are seeking a Roofing Estimator to take ownership of pre-construction efforts and bid management for a wide range of commercial and multi-family projects.

You will play a key role in shaping project strategies, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting their continued growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in construction estimating.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to determine roofing scopes
• Prepare accurate take-offs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Metal)
• Solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, analyze quotes, and manage vendor relationships
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to refine project scopes and pricing
• Assist with value engineering, alternate proposals, and post-bid clarifications
• Track bid results and maintain accurate estimating records

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience
• Proficient in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar take-off and estimating software
• Strong knowledge of roofing assemblies, installation methods, and materials
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple simultaneous projects
