JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:

The Physical Therapy Rehab Manager will plan and implement the overall physical therapy rehabilitation functions, policies, procedures, and services including Restorative, Skilled and Aquatic. Ensures efficient and effective operations for physical therapy services. Identifies new services through assessment and program planning and leads implementation in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Essential Functions:

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the Physical Therapy Rehabilitation program including staffing, budgeting, billing procedures, scheduling, and training of direct reports.
* Perform all evaluations, develop individualized Physical Therapy plan of care, and assess conditions to determine therapy plan in consultation with physician or other providers.
* Administer prescribed physical therapy including but not limited to manual exercises, maneuvers, and hands-on therapy to increase mobility and facilitate wellness.
* Collaborate with the nursing team to coordinate the most effective plan of care.
* Assist the residents in achieving treatment; instruct, encourage, and assist residents in performing physical activities and proper use of supportive equipment.
* Evaluate effects of physical therapy treatments by observing and documenting resident’s progress in the electronic medical record; recommend adjustments or modifications as needed.
* Make equipment recommendations, complete justification letters, and work directly with vendors as appropriate.
* Oversee resident equipment functionality by completing preventative maintenance per manufacturer’s instructions for use and work with vendors as appropriate.
* Educate nursing caregivers, residents and their families as appropriate.
* Offer analysis, information and suggestions with the end goal of developing physical therapy operational policies; determine productivity, production, quality and patient-services procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Working knowledge of computer and software application used in job functions.
* Follows all of Pope’s Place policies and procedures including HIPAA.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Current Physical Therapy License valid in the State of Washington.

Masters Degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

1-year supervisory experience

3 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.

*Preferred Education and Experience: *

Doctorate Degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Experience working with children with development delay or disability preferred

Prior experience working with children with disabilities.

Completion of a one (1) year clinical residency specializing in pediatric physical therapy.

2 years supervisory experience.

*Required Certifications:*

* Must pass a State and Federal Background Check, including fingerprints
* Current Physical Therapist License with Washington State
* Valid State Driver’s License
* Must maintain current vehicle insurance
* Current certification in healthcare CPR/BLS
* Current Food Handler’s Permit
* Must acquire and provide proof of 30 hours of CEU’s per year
* Proof of required vaccinations

*Work Environment *

This role involves visits to a home health care facility on an occasional basis. The environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and other potential hazards.

*Physical Demands: *

This position requires full range of motion and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to walk, bend, stretch, lift and stand. The position may require lifting and moving residents. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and always use proper lifting techniques; pursue assistance with lifting as needed.

*Work Environment: *

This position works collaboratively with all disciplines in the organization. Requires flexibility as hours of work are subject to organizational needs. Share administrative on call duties on a rotating schedule.

*Travel: *

Out-of-town travel may be required for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
