Nurse Practitioner - Lufkin, TX
Details $120-160k Monday-Friday 8a-5p Integrative medicine, family practice office F2F & telehealth visits, patient load roughly 50 per week Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care within an integrative, comprehensive, framework. This role is ideal for a provider who values blending traditional medical practices with nutrition, lifestyle counseling, stress management, and complementary therapies to address the root causes of illness and empower patients in their health journey. Essential Responsibilities: Perform detailed health assessments, including physical exams, diagnostic testing, and evaluation of lifestyle, nutrition, mental health, and environmental influences on patient wellness. Provide diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic health conditions, with emphasis on both conventional and integrative modalities. Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medications, therapeutic procedures, nutritional guidance, stress-reduction techniques, supplementation, or referral for integrative therapies (e.g., acupuncture, chiropractic, counseling). Partner with patients to set health goals, encourage self-care, and support preventive strategies to optimize long-term health. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nutritionists, mental health providers, and holistic practitioners to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. Educate patients and families on healthy lifestyle practices, disease prevention, and evidence-based integrative approaches. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic labs and imaging studies. Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in electronic health records. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to remain current in both conventional and integrative medical practices. Qualifications: Nurse Practitioner license (TX) Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Valid state licensure, prescriptive authority, and national certification. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in family practice, primary care, or integrative/functional medicine strongly preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills.
