Job Title: Manual Machinist

Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled manual machinist with grinding capabilities to join our machining department. The position involves working the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate all manual cylindrical grinders, surface grinders, and internal grinders.
• Setup parts and make any fixturing required.
• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections for all parts manufactured as required.
• Conduct overall equipment maintenance and document measuring equipment, including micrometers and bore gauges.

Essential Skills

• Manual machining
• Calipers
• Grinder operation
• Manual machinist skills
• OD Grinder and ID Grinder operation
• Manual mill and lathe operation
• Experience with drill press and tolerances
• 3+ years of manual machining experience
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to lift 40lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Five years of tool and die experience
• Experience in manual OD and/or ID machining
• TMA Certificate or equivalent
• Vocational schooling

This position is based out of Northbrook, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
