Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team, specializing in setting up Mill-turn machines, checking parts, and coaching other machinists. The candidate will also be able to perform some programming directly at the machine. This opportunity is available for the night shift or weekend days. A strong understanding of various CNC control systems and the ability to maintain low scrap rates is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up Mill-turn machines and ensure optimal performance.
• Check parts for accuracy and precision.
• Coach and mentor other machinists.
• Perform programming tasks directly at the machine.
• Maintain low scrap rates and high-quality standards.
• Use CNC control systems effectively.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Mill-Turn operations.
• Proficient in machining, mill, lathe, and programming.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, CNC mill, and CNC lathe.
• Advanced knowledge of programming at the controller.
• Proficient knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Use simple math to perform basic calculations.
• Use hand-held measuring tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SPC.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $113100.00/yr.
