Are you a detail-oriented Land Surveyor with a passion for precision and problem-solving? We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team in Madison, WI , to help us continue providing high-quality surveying and engineering solutions across Wisconsin.

This is an on-site role focused on planning, managing, and delivering land surveying projects that shape communities and support infrastructure. Whether you're a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or an experienced surveyor actively working toward your certification, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Shaping Wisconsin's Landscape

You will play a key role in the entire project lifecycle, from initial research to final certification:

  • Drafting & Design: Draft surveys and designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D .
  • Research & Analysis: Research and analyze state, county, and city records to establish property boundaries and survey control.
  • Field Deliverables: Perform construction staking , ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys , and topographic surveys .
  • Platting & Mapping: Create Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) , Preliminary & Final Plats , and Condominium Plats .
  • Documentation: Prepare Transportation Project Plats , write detailed legal land descriptions , and create Elevation Certificates .
  • Team Leadership: Supervise field technicians and coordinate fieldwork and research efforts, ensuring project quality and timelines are met.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, a proven track record, and technical proficiency.

  • Experience: 3+ years of land surveying experience .
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed Surveyor or actively working toward obtaining your Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise with AutoCAD and Civil 3D .
  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Civil Technology (or related field).
  • Driving: Must have an Active Valid Driver's License (misdemeanors considered, no felonies).
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing and mentoring field teams, and familiarity with subdivision regulations and site/lot layout design .
