We’re looking for a full stack engineer who’s motivated by working with a team to solve tough, unusual problems. In this role, you’ll work across the stack to design and implement the technology behind real-time, interactive stories at scale. Some days you might architect systems that combine thousands of audience inputs into a coherent narrative; others, you’ll integrate the latest research from our ML team into production.

We value people who ask “How can we make this work?” and who enjoy building solutions that don’t have obvious blueprints. You’ll work closely with a small, multidisciplinary team of engineers and storytellers who are committed to building something genuinely new.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, and build systems that harness the latest AI models to orchestrate all components of a 3D animated story
• Design, prototype, and build systems to support a user facing creative platform allowing creation, collaboration, sharing, and viewing 3D animated stories
• Improve various open source AI systems to produce meaningful and engaging stories
• Co-create & implement creative storytelling strategies alongside Hollywood industry luminaries
• Continue to push the limits of our small teams’ capabilities through creative application of AI tooling

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with AI/ML integration in large scale web applications
• Strong background in traditional programming languages & algorithms
• You love digging your teeth into hard problems and solving them in nuanced ways
• Comfortability with fast-paced development and high-risk, high-reward features
• You love working with talented team members and they love working with you
• You’re comfortable with augmenting your development with AI tools while ensuring a consistently high level of code quality

Preferred Qualifications:

• You’ve scaled a product to millions of active users
• You’ve deployed and/or maintained a realtime, AI-integrated system handling terabytes of data
• You’ve built actionable, realtime monitoring and analytics systems for large scale applications
• You have experience with security techniques used to protect complicated web systems
