The District Service Manager is responsible for\ndemonstrating and applying a broad knowledge of fundamental concepts,\npractices, and procedures in the commercial and technical service management of\nturbine and generator equipment. You will be responsible for the management of\nall work scopes within the Vistra and Duke Nuclear Alliance, to include\ninstallation, initial testing, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting\nand modification of customer equipment and systems.  The position reports\ndirectly to the Region Director for field service and has a high degree of\ninternal and external customer interface.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Lead\n the platform team to ensure that all aspects of the customer relationship\n are maintained.  Identifies and manages the resolution of more\n complex problems and apply problem-solving skills to deal with most\n situations.
\n

• Develop\n and maintain the primary customer interface within the assigned district.
\n
• Manage\n district non-conformance costs and the identification of technical and\n commercial risks and opportunities.
\n
• Manage\n the performance of on-site technical and operational support in the\n design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems\n of a complex nature.
\n
• Develop\n budgets and business plans to support the current and future workload\n within the district.
\n
• Be\n responsible for the district’s financial Profit & Loss and required\n reporting.
\n
• Works\n with internal and external customers to develop complex maintenance plans.
\n
• Completes\n the planning and estimating to develop complex proposals.
\n
• Performs\n the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics\n and provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
\n
• Lead\n the collaboration of the platform team including Sales, Warranty, and\n parts to provide “best-in-class” customer service.
\n
• Manage\n the district engineers and support staffs ranging in size from 10 to 15\n persons.
\n
• Develop\n employees through training and coaching
\n
• Collaborate\n with other departments to continuously improve Siemens products and\n service
\n
• Communicate\n key technical, commercial and customer issues upward to Senior Management.
\n

What you Bring:

\n
• BS/BA\n in a business-related field or engineering preferred
\n
• Minimum\n 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful\n demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.
\n
• Experience\n in general maintenance of large steam turbines, generators and associated\n equipment.
\n
• Experience\n working with union & non-union labor
\n
• Required\n to travel up to 25%
\n
• Experience\n working in SAP
\n
