Job Description
DISTRICT MANAGER
ROLE SUMMARY – DISTRICT MANAGER
At Aubergine Kitchen, the District Manager is the bridge between the brand’s vision and
day-to-day execution in the stores — an inspiring leader who guides, supports, and
empowers General Managers to achieve exceptional results. With a strategic mindset and a
strong presence in operations, the DM ensures that each unit operates with excellence,
upholds company standards, and strengthens a culture of care, quality, and high
performance.
More than a supervisor, the District Manager develops leaders, provides consistent
feedback, identifies opportunities for improvement, and ensures each store is ready to
delight customers every day. Their role is to be an active mentor, a problem-solver, and a
guardian of Aubergine’s values — leading with vision, empathy, and consistency so the
brand grows sustainably and meaningfully.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise and support multiple units, ensuring operational consistency, service quality,
and adherence to brand standards.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and train General Managers, fostering individual growth and team performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (sales, food cost, productivity, customer satisfaction,
turnover, etc.) and propose corrective actions when necessary.
• Visit stores regularly, acting with proximity, observation, and a proactive attitude.
• Ensure financial and operational goals are met, identifying improvement opportunities in
each unit.
• Be a role model in organizational culture, promoting a positive, responsible, and
collaborative environment.
• Coordinate store openings, team integrations, and implementation of new standards.
• Mediate critical or complex situations with impartiality, firmness, and empathy.
• Facilitate communication between store teams and corporate leadership.
• Represent the brand with professionalism and passion, serving as an example of attitude
and alignment with Aubergine Kitchen values.
• Willingness to travel frequently between units, with consistent in-store presence.
• Availability for travel and training of team members during store openings.REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• English fluency – Ability to communicate clearly in English (essential requirement).
• Inspiring leadership, with the ability to develop managers and teams, driving high
performance in all assigned units.
• Strategic decision-making, with broad business vision and focus on consistent results.
• Ability to manage multiple stores, track KPIs, operational standards, and financial
performance of each unit.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring consistent processes,
quality, and culture across all stores.
• Interpersonal and assertive communication skills, with the ability to guide, provide
feedback, and create a motivating and collaborative work environment.
• Time and priority management skills, with the ability to balance store visits, training, data
analysis, and support.
• Professional, ethical behavior and exemplary conduct, serving as a reference for leaders
and team members.
• Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, service excellence, and customer experience as
fundamental pillars.
• Analytical, resilient, and growth-oriented profile, capable of leading change and
improving results.
• Ability to manage conflicts with balance, empathy, and a solution-focused approach.
• Passion for people, healthy food, and a culture of exceptional service.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Solid experience managing multiple units in the food or retail industry is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of effectively leading managers and achieving positive operational
results.
• Successful completion of company training and demonstrated deep knowledge of
organizational processes and values.
• Advanced knowledge or strong interest in KPIs, financial control, strategic planning,
people leadership, and talent development.
• Completion of Food Manager Certification course within 60 days of hiring.
