Position Overview: McKinnis Roofing and Sheet Metal is looking for a motivated and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing team. As a Commercial Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of roofing projects, preparing proposals, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. You will work closely with Sales, project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure a smooth project workflow from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine roofing needs.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and materials.
• Prepare comprehensive proposals and bids to clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team and project managers to ensure estimates meet project goals.
• Track and manage all bidding activity, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with clients.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of industry standards, roofing systems, and best practices.
• Review and analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimates.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
