Job Summary
We are a small family owned petroleum business located in eastern Colorado. We currently have five full time employees. We are seeking a Class B CDL driver with HAZMAT endorsement to join our team with the goal to become our main propane delivery driver. In this role, you will maintain trucks (ie oil change and grease when necessary), track inventory, fulfill orders-both call in and route customers, and help with general maintenance and trucks around our property. Responding to orders quickly and accurately is an essential part of customer satisfaction. We are fairly busy during the winter season and may require overtime worked 5-7 days per week. Summertime and warm season are much slower for deliveries. An ideal candidate is highly organized, driven, organized with strong attention to detail and previous experience in a similar role. We appreciate some one with a mechanical skill set. All of our hazmat drivers are required to take Propane Education and Research Council Classes on the job in order to qualify for our insurance. This will help prepare the candidate for all the safety precautions involved with the propane business. There is room for advancement in our company in the long term.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials
• Keep up with route customers especially during cold season
• Federally enforced drug and alcohol testing
• Inspect deliveries to ensure all materials meet quality standards (sniff test)
• Monitor inventory levels
• Maintain detailed records of orders, materials, and inventory
• Communicate with team and front office staff to stay ahead and organized

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CDL, HAZMAT driver. 1 year experience required.
• Previous experience as a propane delivery driver (not required)
• Mechanical skillset
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with and ability to use industrial equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Highly organized
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects
• Availability to work overtime when necessary (Wintertime especially. Warm seasons are slower with irrigation pivots being our primary customers)
