Job Title: Copper Component Assembler and Brazer

Job Description

Join our team as a Copper Component Assembler and Brazer where you will be responsible for assembling and brazing copper components into coils using an oxygen-acetylene torch. Your role will involve preparing coils, reading blueprints, and applying basic math skills to complete setups and brazing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and braze copper parts such as return bends and tube extensions.
• Use various brazing rods and adhere to coil prints.
• Prepare coils and perform brazing using an oxygen-acetylene torch.
• Set up and braze any coil type within the department.
• Read blueprints and apply basic arithmetic skills.
• Monitor inventory of headers and manifold sub-assemblies.
• Assemble and braze headers and manifold components.

Essential Skills

• Experience in brazing and welding.
• Mechanical assembly skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Capability to use a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in brazing 180 & 360 degree with a braze torch.
• Ability to braze brass fittings to copper.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools.
• Familiarity with braze torch & braze rod BCUP 5 and Stay-Silv Brazing Flux.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large plant environment that is non-temperature controlled. You will be expected to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $27.14/hr.
